Adalysis Data Protection (Privacy) Policy

Adalysis Ltd (“Adalysis”, “we”, “us”) provides advertising analysis and optimization software. This policy explains what we do with personal data and applies to everyone: people browsing our website, people who contact us or sign up for our emails, people trialing the product, and clients who subscribe to it. Not every section applies to you, so each one explains who it is for.

If You Are Just Visiting Our Website

When you visit adalysis.com, we automatically collect basic technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and the times of your visits. We use this to keep the site working, to keep it secure, and to understand which content is useful.

We use cookies and similar technologies for this, and for advertising. Some are necessary for the site to function, including keeping you logged in. Others are optional, and you can accept or reject them through the cookie banner or change your mind later through the cookie settings on our site. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though some parts of the site may then stop working properly.

Some optional cookies are set by third parties that provide our analytics and advertising measurement, which means those companies may also use them to show you our ads elsewhere on the web. Rejecting the marketing and statistics categories in our cookie banner stops this.

You do not need to give us any personal data to browse the site.

If You Contact Us or Subscribe to Our Emails

If you complete a form, email us, request a demo, or sign up for our blog or newsletter, we collect the contact details and the message you send, and we keep a record of our correspondence. We use this to answer you and, where you have asked for it or where we have a legitimate interest in telling you about our products, to send you marketing.

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out by contacting us with “Privacy Policy opt-out” in the subject line and the email address concerned.

If You Have an Adalysis Account

When you sign up for a trial or subscription, we collect your name, contact details, company details, billing information, and login credentials, and we keep records of how you use the application and any support you request.

We use this to provide the service, bill you, provide support, keep the service secure, meet our legal obligations, and improve the product. Subscribers also receive service emails such as performance alerts and feature announcements. You can change the frequency of alerts in your account settings and unsubscribe from announcements from the email itself.

We rely on our contract with you for most of this, on our legitimate interests in running and improving the service, and on your consent where the law requires it.

Accounts You Connect to Adalysis

This section is for clients. Adalysis works by connecting to the advertising, analytics, and product accounts you choose. You can connect any or all of:

– Google Ads
– Microsoft Advertising
– Google Analytics
– Google Merchant Center
– Meta (Facebook)

Nothing is connected unless you authorise it. You grant access through each platform’s own authorisation process; you see what is being requested before you agree, and you can disconnect at any time from your Adalysis settings or from your account with that platform. Access stops immediately.

What we retrieve: Performance and reporting data from the accounts you connect: the structure of your accounts and campaigns, spend and results, product and audience information, and website traffic and conversion data. We retrieve what the features you use require, and no more.

What we do with it: We show it back to you, combine it across the platforms you have connected, and use it for the reporting, analysis, alerting, auditing and optimisation features of Adalysis, and to help you if you ask our support team for assistance.

Reading versus changing: For Google Analytics and Google Merchant Center our access is read-only: we retrieve data and can never create, edit or delete anything in those accounts. For the advertising platforms we can also make changes, but only the changes you ask for, whether directly or through the rules and automations you have set up yourself.

Whose data it is: This data belongs to you, and some of it describes people who visited your website or saw your ads. We act as your processor for it: we handle it on your instructions, only to provide the service. We do not use it for our own purposes. If you are an agency, you are responsible for having the right to connect your clients’ accounts and for telling them how their data is used.

What we never do with it: We do not sell it. We do not use it to serve or target our own advertising. We do not use it to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We do not share it with other clients.

Platform terms: Each platform sets its own rules for how their data may be used, and we follow them. In particular, Adalysis’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Your Customers: We do not collect any of your customer’s details. If you are using audience lists, we do not download their contents. We do not read or store any of your customers data. We only download the performance data for audiences for reporting and optimisation purposes.

AI Assistants

Adalysis offers an optional connector that lets you link your Adalysis account to an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT. You choose the assistant; we do not choose it for you, and nothing is shared unless you turn it on. The connector can only reach the accounts you could already reach in Adalysis.

When your assistant calls the connector, we return data from your Adalysis account. From the moment it reaches your AI provider, their privacy policy and your agreement with them govern what happens to it, including whether they retain it or use it for training. We are not responsible for how that provider handles it.

Your conversations with your assistant are not sent to us. The connector does not store the data it returns, and we never store or log raw API keys. We do keep short-lived operational logs of connector activity, such as which tool was called, whether it succeeded and how many rows were returned, for 7 days.

You can revoke access at any time by deleting the API key in your account settings or removing the connection from your assistant. It stops working immediately.

Who We Share Data With

We do not sell personal data.

We use a small number of third-party platforms and service providers to help us run Adalysis and process data, covering hosting and storage, logging and monitoring, payments, email delivery, customer support and website analytics. They may only use the data to provide their service to us, and they are bound by written contracts to that effect. Our current list is available on request.

We also share data where you ask us to, such as with an AI assistant you have connected, and where we are required to by law, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a sale or transfer of our business.

Security

We take the security of your data seriously. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, credentials and access tokens for connected accounts are stored encrypted and never appear in our logs, and access is limited to authorised staff who are bound by confidentiality obligations. Staff only access client data to provide support you have requested, to investigate a fault or security incident, or where the law requires it.

How Long We Keep Data

We keep data for as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, and no longer.

– Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe, we remove you from that list.
– Account and correspondence records: for as long as you are a client, for legal, tax and accounting purposes
– Data from your connected accounts: for as long as those accounts are connected.

Please export anything you need from Adalysis before you cancel, because after these periods we will no longer hold it.

Where Your Data Is Held

Your information may be stored, processed and accessed in the United Kingdom and in other countries where we or our service providers operate, including the United States.

Your Rights

If you are in the UK or the EEA you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, object to marketing, and ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Contact us through our website and we will respond within one month.

If we hold data on behalf of one of our clients, for example data from an advertising or analytics account they have connected, please contact that client directly and we will help them respond to you.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local supervisory authority.

Our site links to websites we do not control. This policy does not apply to them, and we recommend reading their own privacy policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell you by email and through a notice in the Adalysis dashboard, and where a change affects data from your connected accounts, we will ask you to review and accept it before we use that data in the new way.
